Live Edge Slabs of Houston, LLC specializes in selecting the best exotic wood slabs from Costa Rica and offering them to you at the best possible price. We take pride in the craftsmanship we use to bring our slabs to life. After hand-selecting our slabs, we carefully plane, hand sand, and finish each slab with the finest quality woodworking tools available. Each piece of wood is kiln dried for 3 months and has unique grain patterns. Natural imperfections or defects in the wood are filled with clear epoxy to create beautiful 3-dimentional components to the artistic pieces. Finally, we use a non-toxic, food-grade, water and heat resistant, hand rubbed oil finish which takes 30 days to cure and will be water resistant. Customers will then have jaw dropping pieces of art, stunning in beauty, that can be handed down as family heirlooms for generations to come.
Although we specialize in dining tables and conference tables, we also make buffet or island counters, coffee tables, end tables, one and two level console tables, shelves, table risers, hanging wall art, drink rails, and sliding door wood products. In addition, we are skilled at making routed and full river tables as well as ocean tables.
Those attending the Montgomery County fall Home and Outdoor Living Show will have the opportunity to see and “feel the grain” of completed tables at the show site. Orders can be taken at the site the days of the show, but certainly we encourage everyone to come to our location in Houston. There you can browse through the unfinished slabs, find “perfectly imperfect” grain and epoxy patterns that you are looking for, custom cut the wood, and typically complete work in 3-4 weeks.
Daniel and Rick LaCamera are proud to have joined the Live Edge Slabs family by opening the third location in Houston, Texas. Daniel, graduate of Texas A&M Mays School of Business and 4 year scholarship football player, brings youth and energy to the operation. His father Rick brings business experience of a practicing gastroenterologist for the last 25 years as he transitions his career from serving medical needs of his patients to providing extraordinary, detailed customer service to the Live Edge Slab customers.
