About:

The mission of the Native Plant Society of Texas is to promote research, conservation, and utilization of native plants and habitats through education, outreach, and example. The Pines and Prairies Chapter was established in January 2021 to serve the residents of Montgomery County, Texas, and nearby areas. Its members are passionate about conserving the habitat of native plants and providing resources to incorporate native plants in landscapes. Activities include offering courses for landscaping with Texas native plants; organizing field trips such as native plant rescue and seed collecting; learning while propagating native plants; conducting native plant sales; sponsoring native plant pollinator and demonstration gardens; and providing public outreach and education about native plants and their benefits.
