They did a fantastic job without breaking anything and without making a mess. “I have engaged Finch to do semi-annual inspection and maintenance on our three HVAC units in a newish home. The builder’s HVAC contractor wanted us to be their ongoing client ( and gave us a “free” first year) but I went back to Finch because of the 20 or so years of outstanding service experienced in our previous home.
Today the initial inspection team ( Greg, Daniel and Jesus) did a thorough job and told me things I didn’t know about the new system. They didn’t charge me for a needed “repair” ( they cleared a tube that was blocked )and they didn’t push to sell me anything new. “On a Saturday night/Sunday morning, our AC went out on us suddenly. Within fifteen minutes of our call, we had a technician on his way. When Soff arrived, he told us that we had lost the motor to the part outside and needed to replace it. He offered a bandaid solution to us in case we weren’t ready to replace it and gave us a guesstimate as to how long that could carry us through. He said he wanted to check the attic to make sure there was nothing else due to the expense of replacement.
After checking the upstairs unit, he said he’d prefer to call his boss to give us a better understanding of the situation. He called Mark to come. Mark (got out of the pool for us!) came and did his own inspection of our system. He found several problems. The biggest was that our builder undersized our unit. He told us problems that it could cause and we confirmed that we had experienced them.
Mark walked our house twice to confirm the measurements for our needs. He sat at our table and laid out all of the information we needed to make an informed decision. He answered all of our questions, some repeatedly. He explained financing and our options for units. He then told us that the most expensive fix probably wasn’t the best fit for our house. We settled on an option and were approved for financing with 3 minutes. He spent a couple of hours with us on Sunday to get everything set up.
After we set up an appointment for Tuesday, I got a call on Monday morning that someone had to be rescheduled due to their life so we got bumped up! From the time we first called for help, it took only 30 hours for everything to be installed so that we had a properly sized, working AC system in our house. The three man crew was great. They worked efficiently and cleanly. There was no mess after they were done and they explained things clearly before they left.
We definitely recommend Finch AC and will continue to be customers of theirs! A big thank you to Mark and all the workers that came out.”
